Nata a Roma nel 1982. Si laurea in Scenografia all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma e successivamente consegue un Master in Artiterapie all’Università Roma Tre. Lavora come illustratrice per editori, agenzie, clienti italiani ed esteri. I suoi lavori sono stati selezionati in diversi concorsi e mostre internazionali, come la biennale Ilustrarte e la Bologna Children’s Book Fair. Accanto al lavoro di pittura e illustrazione si dedica da qualche anno al progetto Iriblum, coniugando il lavoro sulle immagini e i libri con la realizzazione di gioielli artigianali attraverso l’utilizzo di carte pregiate e tecniche di ricamo.

Daniela Tieni was born in Rome in 1982. She graduated in Scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and then earned a master degree in Art Theraphy. She is currently working as a freelance illustrator for magazines and Italian and foreign publishers. Her works have been selected for many international competitions and exhibitions, such as the Ilustrarte Biennal and The Bologna Children’s Book Fair. Alongside her painting and illustration work, lately she has been dedicating herself to the Iriblum project, combining work on images and books with the creation of handcrafted jewels through the use of fine papers and embroidery techniques.
